Step 2 Choose the country you live in and what type of account you want/need:
- Personal Account: Ideal for shopping online. It's free, secure, and fast way to send payments. You can also accept bank account or PayPal balance-funded payments for free and a limited number of credit or debit card payments per year for a low fees
- Premier Account: Accept credit cards and other payment types, for low fees. Ideal for casual sellers on eBay and all over the Internet.
- Business Account: Accept all payment types, including credit cards, for low fees. Ideal for businesses that need a merchant account. Do business under your company name.
Then press continue.
Step 3
- Fill in your personal information (name, adress etc.), - Fill inn your dsesired account information and password recovery. - Then agre to the terms of use and press Sign Up.
Step 4
You will now receive an email from paypal from which you must confirm the account. You do this by clicking the link you received in the email from paypal.
Step 5
When you log into the acount the first time you will be asked to Verify the account by adding a credit or debit card to it. If you do this you will be able to send money directly from your credit/debit card. You do not have to verify the account but it makes the payment easier.
If you do not have a credit or debit card you can: - add your bank account to the account in order to send eChecks (not all countries have this opportunity) or - you can upload money from your bank account to the paypal account. You do this by pressing the Add Funds button on the upper part of the page when you have entered your account.
- If you pay with paypal using your credit or debit cart the payment will be instant and the money you send will be received within minutes.
- eChecks takes 3-5 business days to clear from your bank account and the recipient has received the payment.
- To Add Funds to your account takes 3-5 business days, but once the money is in your paypal account any payment you make with that money is instant and received within minutes.
